Leading corporate and technology law firm, Moorcrofts, has further strengthened its teams with a series of key promotions in its Thames Valley office.

Mohsin Shabbir (Mo), Lindsey Abbott and Usha Guness have been promoted to Associate, which supports the firm’s development strategy, as it continues to grow its core service areas, with increasing instructions of multi-million-pound transactions and new clients, across all service areas.

Mo joined Moorcrofts in 2017. He has become a key member of the corporate team and worked on numerous corporate transactions and reorganisations (including those with cross-border and regulatory elements) engaging closely with the firm’s long-standing clients and across multiple sectors and industries. Mo also has a breadth of experience across general corporate matters such as share schemes, share buybacks and capital reductions.

Usha is a dual qualified Barrister from Mauritius and solicitor in England & Wales. She joined Moorcrofts in 2018 and specialises in commercial, intellectual property and technology law and has recently co-authored a number of publications in these areas.

Lindsey is an experienced employment solicitor, specialising in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. She also has experience in liaising and negotiating directly with opposing legal teams and via ACAS, to achieve settlement on a range of cases from public interest disclosure claims to race discrimination claims, as well as negotiating the terms of Settlement Agreements for clients.

Teri Hunter, Joint Managing Partner and Head of Corporate at Moorcrofts, said:

“Mo, Usha and Lindsey are all instrumental members of the team – demonstrating commitment, hard-work and providing real value to the work we undertake for our clients. We are firmly committed to the development of our team and rewarding hard-work. These promotions are well-deserved and reflect the experience and expertise they have gained, along with the contributions they have made to the success of the firm.”

Moorcrofts is a boutique firm of solicitors, focusing on corporate and contract law, tech law, employment (including employee incentivisation) and commercial property. Housing one of the largest corporate and technology teams in the Thames Valley and acting for some of the biggest names in the world.
