Take to your starting gates and join Moorcrofts’ ‘Night at the Races’ in aid of its charity of the Year, SpecialEffect.

SpecialEffect is a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by offering bespoke technology to enable them to play video games. By levelling the playing field, they bring families and friends together, having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.

For those ready to saddle up and take part in a ‘Night at the Races’, the virtual horse racing will take place at Marlow Rowing Club on Thursday 29 September 2022 from 7:00 – 10:30 PM.

The event – which will be hosted by Moorcrofts – involves attendees placing their bets on a horse (or multiple horses) in each of the eight on-screen races. The cost of entry is £15.00 per person including a fish & chip supper. There are corporate sponsorship packages available and the opportunity to sponsor an individual horse and/or races with a prize for the winning horse in each race.

Julia Ferguson, Head of Moorcrofts Charity Committee, said:

“Moorcrofts’ Charity Night at the Races’ was postponed due to COVID-19 so we are now very much looking forward to hosting this in person event. We look forward to welcoming those businesses and individuals who have already booked places and would like to encourage others to join us for a fun evening, whilst at the same time raising money for this very worthy charity.”
