On Saturday 22 August, Adam Forder from Moorcrofts Corporate team completed the monumental challenge of lifting 100 tonnes (the weight of a Boeing 757 or blue whale) in an astounding 4 hours and 55 minutes!

His fantastic achievements raised a total of £1440 for Moorcrofts charity partner, SpecialEffect.

SpecialEffect is a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by offering bespoke technology to enable them to play video games. By levelling the playing field, they bring families and friends together, having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.

Julia Ferguson, Head of Moorcrofts Charity Committee, said:

“Adam has invested a lot of time and energy to train for this challenge and we are all very proud of and delighted for him. Not only did he complete the challenge but he also did so in an incredible time, raising much needed funds for our charity partner, SpecialEffect – well done Adam.”
