New Data Protection Laws: What Employers Need to Know

New Data Protection Laws: What Employers Need to Know

24th May 2017

On 25 May 2018 major changes to the UK’s data protection laws will come into effect.  The new regime will bring significant changes and substantial fines for non-compliance, so it is vital that employers prepare themselves well in advance of the implementation date.    Importantly for employers, the ability to rely on an employee’s general consent to process their data will now be significantly restricted.

Please follow this link Employment Law Bulletin GDPR and New Data Protection Laws to read our guide on the key points which employers will need to be aware of and prepare for in advance of these changes coming into effect.
