Leading Corporate and Technology Law Firm, Moorcrofts has selected Kidney Research UK, with a specific focus on IgA Nephropathy, as its Charity of the Year.

Kidney Research UK is the leading UK charity dedicated to funding research into the prevention, treatment and cure of kidney disease. The charity supports patients and families affected by kidney conditions, including IgA nephropathy, through groundbreaking research, education and advocacy. Its work aims to improve diagnosis, develop better treatments, and ultimately find a cure for kidney disease, which affects millions of people across the UK.

Julia Ferguson, Partner and Head of Moorcrofts’ Charity Committee, said:

“The cause is especially important to the Firm, as the daughter of one of our staff members was diagnosed last year with IgA nephropathy, a common chronic kidney disease, and is currently receiving treatment and dialysis. Later this year, subject to successful tests, her mother hopes to donate a kidney to her daughter. As a firm, we want to support them both through this difficult time, and we are proud to be raising funds for such a meaningful cause.

The Moorcrofts team is looking forward to coming together to host events in support of this wonderful charity, and we would like to thank everyone in advance for any donations and support.”

Donations can be made via Moorcrofts Just Giving page here.
