About Julia Ferguson

Julia has over 15 years’ experience in commercial property law. She specialises in business landlord and tenant transactions with particular expertise acting for corporate occupiers of owner managed businesses on leasehold acquisitions and disposals of business premises both locally and nationally, including offices, industrial and retail units. She also advises developers and tenants negotiating pre-let agreements as well as working with regional landlords on their property portfolios, negotiating leases, renewals, dealing with consent applications and providing general advice on property management issues. She also deals with freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, conditional contracts, option agreements, overage and pre-emption agreements as well as providing support to the corporate department on company and asset sales and acquisitions and restructuring. 

Career

Having trained at Wragge & Co, Birmingham (now Gowling WLG) Julia qualified in 2000 into the Property Development Team where she worked for 3 years before moving to Linnells in Oxford (now Blake Morgan). As part of the Commercial Property team there she acted on all types of commercial property transactions, specialising in particular in medical centre developments and latterly acting for a number of national and international charities on their retail property portfolios. Julia joined Moorcrofts in 2016.

Personal

Julia lives just outside Henley on Thames with her husband and two children. She enjoys the theatre and travelling and speaks fluent French, having studied law in French in Switzerland as part of her degree.
