Leading corporate and technology law firm, Moorcrofts, has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious Deal of the Year category for its outstanding role in the sale of PCB Technical Solutions Ltd (PCB). The recognition comes as part of the highly anticipated Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards 2023, an event that celebrates the exceptional achievements and the most significant deals shaping the region.

Moorcrofts well-deserved nomination is a testament to the firm’s unwavering dedication in providing exceptional legal services to clients engaged in transformative company acquisitions and sales.

PCB, a trailblazing technology firm known for its cutting-edge technical maintenance services sought Moorcrofts’ expertise to facilitate the sale of the company to Sescom, a leading Polish retail-focused technical facilities management (TFM) provider. This strategic partnership has paved the way for future growth and success, promising new and exciting possibilities for both entities.

Moorcrofts Peter Woolley (corporate partner) led the transaction, with support from Heather Stewart (corporate solicitor), Nouara Mokrane (corporate trainee solicitor), Sharan Uppal (commercial property solicitor), Lindsey Abbott (employment associate) and Usha Guness (technology associate), providing invaluable guidance and support throughout and ensuring all legal aspects were meticulously addressed, and the interests of the sellers were safeguarded.

Leading advisory firm, Quantuma, played a pivotal role in the sale by providing expert corporate finance and structuring advice. Leveraging their strategic marketing expertise, they identified Sescom as an ideal partner to propel PCB’s growth and achieve substantial synergies. Additionally, Quantuma collaborated closely with Moorcrofts, demonstrating exceptional project management skills, to successfully navigate the intricacies of the transaction and assist in bringing it to a successful completion.

“Being shortlisted for the Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards is a tremendous honor and a testament to the hard work and commitment of our talented team at Moorcrofts,” said Teri Hunter, Managing Partner and Head of Corporate. “This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional results and creating lasting value for our clients.”

The Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards, organised by Insider Media, is set to be an extraordinary celebration of the region’s most outstanding deals, showcasing the exceptional talent and innovation that thrives within the Thames Valley business community.

The winners will be announced at the Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards ceremony on Thursday 21 September at Reading FC Conference and Events, which will be attended by esteemed business leaders, investors, and industry experts.

Other professional advisers on the transaction included GESSEL Attorneys at Law (Poland) and Ali Legal Ltd (legal advisors to Sescom); Quantuma (corporate finance advisors to PCB) and Azets (financial due diligence).
