Matt Jenkin to speak at Howden Employment Webinar

Matt Jenkin, Moorcrofts Employment Partner will join Howden’s Employee Benefits & HR thought-leader Steve Herbert, deliver Howden’s next Employment webinar on Thursday 10 June 2021 from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

The webinar, chaired by Gina Ellis which will cover the following topics:

Agenda and Timings:

10:00    Delegate Log-In Commences

10:05    Welcome and Opening Comments

10:10    Employee Benefits: “One door closes…”

As the UK economy reopens employers face a mixture of existing and new employment challenges to manage.  Steve will look into the hidden employee health issues employers may be about to fully uncover, how a structured – but simple to deliver – Wellbeing Strategy can really help employers and employees, and why Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance (ESG) investments within company-sponsored pension schemes have become more pressing during the pandemic.  Another unusual – and hopefully engaging – update from Howden’s well known Employee Benefits and Human Resources thought-leader.  Speaker:  Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing

11:00    Delegate Voting/ Comfort & Cuppa Break

11:20    Employment Law: “Many happy returns?”

Matt will consider the planned easing of restrictions for office-based working in June, and identify some key issues for employers within this exercise such as dealing with employees reluctant to return to the office, responding to requests to continue home working arrangements, and the end of the temporary adjustments to “right to work” checks.  Matt will also provide an update on the very latest employment law cases including the important decision of the Supreme Court on pay for sleep-in workers in the Royal Mencap Society case.  As ever, an important and necessary session for all delegates. Speaker:  Matt Jenkin, Employment Partner, Moorcrofts LLP

11:50    Closing Comments

12:00    Webinar Concludes
