Jelf Employment Seminar | 23 November 2017
Matt Jenkin, Moorcrofts Employment Partner will speak at the next Jelf Employment Seminar on Thursday 23 November at Trinity House in central London.
UK Plc is about to head into the uncharted waters of Brexit, and employers are increasingly nervous about the journey ahead. The purpose of the seminar is to provide a guiding-light on some of the key employment issues of the day.
Matt’s talk, entitled: ‘Employment Law: Stormy Waters Ahead’ will cover the following areas:
With the Taylor Report recommending a significant number of changes to employment law, and the continuing cases before the Employment Tribunal looking at worker status in the gig economy, Matt will look at how employment law may change to reflect modern working practices. Other topics will include the recent Supreme Court case abolishing Employment Tribunal fees, a reminder of what GDPR will mean for employers in relation to employee data, as well as look at other key employment law changes. An important and necessary session for all delegates.
Other speakers at the seminar include:
• Steve Herbert – Employee Benefits – On the Rocks
• Elliott Hurst, Head of Proposition & Innovation, Mercer Marsh Benefits – The Ageing Workforce: The impact of ageing and eldercare on corporate Britain
