Introduction to your role as a DPL/DPO| 8 & 9 August 2018

26th July 2018

This course is designed to give new DPL/DPOs an introduction to their obligations under the GDPR and the DPA 2018. It is not intended to make you an outstanding DPO in 2 days (no one can do that!), but rather to give you a level of confidence on what is expected of you and some key areas of focus that are likely to be new to you.

It assumes a basic level of GDPR knowledge and will cover the following over two days:

  • The role of the DPL/DPO and your obligations to the data subject
  • Understanding how to maintain a record of processing and assign a lawful basis for processing – (case studies)
  • Data Protection Impact assessments
  • The rights of the Individual – (case studies)

Date/Time
Wednesday 8 August and Thursday 9 August
9:00am – 17:00pm

Location
Thames House
Mere Park
Dedmere Road
Marlow
Bucks
SL7 1PB

Cost of event:
£995

The ticket price will include lunch and break out refreshments. Accommodation is the responsibility of the delegate.
