Andrew Katz confirmed as a speaker at the World IP Forum | 16 January 2018
We’re delighted to confirm, Moorcrofts CEO and Head of Technology, Andrew Katz will be speaking at the next World IP Forum taking place from 16 – 18 January 2018 in Dubai.
The theme for the conference is ‘Navigating the IP Compass’, with a focus on recent developments in Intellectual Property and its syncing with business objectives. The conference, organised by Intellectual Professionals LLP and now in its 5th year, is built up of a series of different workshops over three days, where a collection of world class IP specialists, will be sharing the latest trends, insights and strategies for patent procurement, litigation, trademark issues and other topical IP issues.
Andrew will form part of the panel in the discussion on ‘controlling IP infringement risk in software development and procurement’. He will be accompanied by Keith Bergelt, Chief Executive Officer, Open Invention Network (USA) and Jill A. McWhirter, Partner, King & Spalding (USA). Andrew will focus on the Linux Foundation’s OpenChain software supply chain procurement programme. Moorcrofts has been appointed by the Linux Foundation to be one of five partners worldwide to introduce OpenChain to business and industry, and Andrew leads the OpenChain team at Orcro, the Moorcrofts compliance division.
The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for accumulation of the biggest IP honchos under a single roof so that they can share knowledge and years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, as well as exchange blossoming ideas for future inception.
