About Usha Guness
Usha is a dual qualified Barrister from Mauritius and a Solicitor in England and Wales with private practice and in-house experience. She specialises in commercial and technology law. Other specialisms include telecoms regulatory affairs and compliance.
Career
Usha has worked in house in the telecoms sector for the Mauritian operation of Millicom International Cellular, S.A, an international and media company, for many years. She qualified as an English Solicitor in 2017 and soon after joined the Technology team at Moorcrofts. She provides legal support to a wide range of clients on matters of varying degrees of complexity.
Publications
She has co-authored two handbooks with Andrew Katz, on ‘Key contracts for Mobile Apps – A developer’s perspective’ in October 2020 and on ‘Open Source for Mobile Apps’ in November 2021.
Both these handbooks were commissioned by the World Intellectual Property Organization
