Moorcrofts LLP advises The Access Group on its continued growth with headquarters move and expansion set for summer 2020

Leading Thames Valley Law Firm, Moorcrofts’ commercial property team has been advising The Access Group on its progressing plans for the expansion of its head office, with a move to a new 100,000 sq. ft. office on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP).

Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP) is already established as one of the largest Science Parks in the UK, with over 66,000m2 of high-quality lettable space, with more than 70 companies on site hosting over 2,000 jobs. Investment in the new office space by Leicestershire County Council will see the creation of a further 500 new jobs and £1.6m a year for vital front-line county council services.

The Access Group is a leading provider of fully integrated business management software. Its portfolio spans ERP, finance, HR, payroll, recruitment, education, warehousing, business intelligence, professional service automation and manufacturing. More than 14,000 UK businesses and not-for-profit organisations use products and services provided by Access to improve their performance, profitability and drive growth, unlocking their business potential through improved business insight. With an excess of 1,500 employees, Access will have a significant presence amongst LUSEP’s vibrant and well-established innovation community. Work is set to get underway on site early next year and the completed office is anticipated to be ready in summer 2020.

Moorcrofts’ head of commercial property, Ian Hylton, has been leading the legal negotiations for The Access Group with support from Julia Ferguson and Anita Johnson.
