Moorcrofts join Open Invention Network
Moorcrofts LLP is delighted to confirm, it has joined the Open Invention Network, alongside such companies as Google, IBM, Philips, Red Hat and Toyota, to demonstrate its support to free and open Linux ecosystem.
Linux is probably the most widely deployed computer operating systems in the world, appearing on equipment as diverse as the every one of the world’s top 500 supercomputers, to cars and every Android mobile phone. The Open Invention Network provides a licensing framework to ensure that all members have access to each other’s patents when developing, using and deploying software which comprises the Linux system, and through that licensing network, continue to promote and develop the vibrant Linux user base.
Moorcrofts deploys Linux in numerous places across our business, from servers to virtual machines to mobile equipment and network infrastructure, and we are proud to be a member of the OIN Family.
