Business in Oxford | 23 May 2018
Moorcrofts is delighted to confirm, it will be exhibiting at this year’s Business in Oxford event on Wednesday 23 May at The Kings Centre in Oxford.
Business in Oxford is organised and curated by B4 each year, and the biggest business-networking and showcase event in the county. Now in its 5th year, BIO2018 brings together over 900 of the county’s business owners, leaders, entrepreneurs and executives. In a world of information overkill, Business in Oxford focuses on the issues most pertinent to local business, invigorating new thinking and inspiring action.
At the event, Moorcrofts will be on stand 80, next to the Tech Area, and Andrew Katz (CEO and Head of Technology), Teri Hunter (CFO and Head of Corporate), Matt Jenkin (Employment Partner), Tash Whitaker (Head of Compliance) and Julia Ferguson (Commercial Property) will be in attendance to talk about GDPR and what you need to do to become compliant, as well as answer any questions you have on their given areas of Law.
Tash Whitaker will be delivering a talk entitled ‘Data Protection in a GDPR mad world; People, Process, Policy’ at 3:15.
On the 25 May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. Although, enforcement date is imminent, many businesses are still uncertain how the regulation applies to them and are unclear on the practical steps they need to take to ensure data compliance is an integral part of their business.
To help answer the questions around this topic, Tash will discuss the evolution of Data Protection, in light of the new GDPR. As well as, exploring the importance of the 3 P’s and how best to balance them in order to implement the organisational and technical measures required to achieve and maintain compliance.
