The first 100 days: issues, lessons and successes from delivering the GDPR | 18 September 2018
On Tuesday 18 September 2018, Tash Whitaker, Head of Compliance at Moorcrofts, will speak at The Law Society conference, taking place at Chancery Lane, London.
John F Kennedy famously said of his programme that “All this will not be finished in the first hundred days.” That is also true of GDPR compliance but with just over 100 days since the regulation came into force there are important early lessons that law firms can learn.
This conference will identify the key developments in data protection law since 25 May including an outline of the further guidance published by the ICO. You can also hear from practitioners about their approach to privacy notices, their experience of subject access requests and their cyber security challenges. The focus will be on practical solutions. There will also be deep dive breakout sessions exploring difficult areas including data protection impact assessments, marketing communications, employee data and cyber security.
Tash will be delivering the marketing workshop within the realms of GDPR and PECR at the conference.
