Brendon Lesar

Brendon is a senior Commercial and Regulatory Lawyer and Registered Foreign Lawyer with over 13 years’ post-qualification experience in South Africa and more than 3 years’ experience advising industry clients in the UK under English law. He specialises in commercial contracts and complex regulatory frameworks, with particular experience in financial services regulation, data protection, and national security and investment controls.

Brendon regularly advises both start-ups and established businesses operating in regulated and technology sectors. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including technology, SaaS, outsourcing, and intellectual property agreements.

Career

Admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2007, Brendon went on to become a partner at a boutique law firm specialising in insurance, commercial, and liability law. He joined a full-service, Top Tier Legal 500 law firm in Farnborough in 2022, where he worked as a lawyer in the Commercial and Regulatory team before Moorcrofts.
