Andrew Katz, CEO of Orcro Limited, will be speaking about OpenChain at the FINOS Open Source Strategy Forum on 14-15 November, in London. The Open Source Strategy Forum, is a two-day conference for financial technology professionals looking to accelerate open source engagement at their firms.

At the forum, Andrew will be speaking on OpenChain, a project of the Linux Foundation, which brings established governance principles to the software supply chain. It adopts best-practice from other compliance areas and maps them to software procurement, giving businesses a clear path to minimising infringement risk in procuring, developing and deploying software.

The programme will feature three tracks, each guiding attendees from fundamental concepts to in-depth, practical knowledge in one of three areas: business value & strategy, policy & process, and tools & technology. Attendees of the forum will leave with the information and skills necessary to move their firms toward open source readiness.

Andrew is an English and Irish lawyer with a software development background who has specialised in free and open source software for over 20 years. He is Managing Partner and head of the technology department at Moorcrofts LLP in the Thames Valley, and also CEO of its sister company, Orcro Limited, which provides compliance services. Through a partnership with the Linux Foundation, Andrew delivers OpenChain compliance services to businesses in sectors ranging from automotive to fintech.

The video and slides of Andrew’s presentation from the forum are now available which can be accessed via the links below:
