Moorcrofts is recruiting: Tech/Commercial Lawyer

If SaaS, PaaS and IaaS; GPL, LGPL and AGPL; DPA, IoT, TCP/IP, TLD and BYOD; C, C++ and JS all mean something to you, read on…

You will be a lawyer with strong academics and an enthusiasm for technology (maybe a bit of a geek!) with a keen interest in developing your career in a department known for its cutting-edge work in open source, cloud computing and communications and software technology. You’ll be covering non-contentious IP licensing, privacy and data protection, web terms and conditions, development agreements, cloud computing, channel-to-market and general commercial contracting with an exposure to cross-border work, for a client base which ranges from startups to  NYSE-listed multinationals.

We’re looking for an individual with around 3-5 years PQE, although candidates with a strong practical background (in another industry, or as a paralegal?) with any level of experience will be considered (qualification indications are just a guide).

The successful candidate would be working with the technology partner Andrew Katz, two other dedicated tech lawyers and would also be providing support to the corporate team.

The role is based at our head office in  Marlow initially, although there will be an opportunity to work from our London office, based in Marylebone Station. Ideally, we are looking for somebody living in or around Marlow or prepared to move to the local area.

We pay competitively and have a comprehensive benefits package.

Contact Andrew Katz with a CV if you are interested in the role.
