18th February 2021

Matt Jenkin, Moorcrofts Employment Partner will join Howden’s Employee Benefits & HR thought-leader Steve Herbert, deliver Howden’s first Employment webinar of 2021.

The webinar, taking place on Thursday 11 March will cover the following topics:

Agenda and Timings

10:00: Delegate Log-In Commences
10:10: Welcome and Opening Comments
10:15: Delegate Voting

10:25: Employee Benefits: “End of the Beginning?”

So what can employers learn from the last year, and how can business better prepare for a future health crisis? Steve will look in detail at this important topic, and will also provide some practical thoughts on the expected post-pandemic rise in flexible working (and the strangely compelling dynamics of a 4-day working week). A review of the Chancellor’s Budget announcements will also be included. Another unusual – but hopefully engaging – update from Howden’s well known employee benefits and HR thought-leader.

Speaker: Steve Herbert, Head of Benefits Strategy, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing

11:00: Delegate Voting/ Comfort & Cuppa Break

11:10: Employment Law: “A farewell to furlough?”

Matt Jenkin will cast his expert eyes over the latest plans for the UK furlough scheme and other COVID-19 support measures available to employers in 2021. Matt will also look at other possible employment law changes in the year ahead including the latest on the off-payroll/IR35 changes, the Government’s consultation on abolishing non-compete clauses in contracts of employment, and the current status of the long-awaited Employment Bill and the changes that could bring for employers. An important and necessary session for all HR and Finance professionals.

Speaker: Matt Jenkin, Employment Partner, Moorcrofts LLP

11:45: Delegate Voting
11:55: Closing Comments
12:00: Webinar Concludes

Please Note: Due to the number of topics to be covered, the level of detail may vary. Speakers will focus on the subject areas that are topical and most likely to be relevant to our audience at the time of the webinar.
