Adrian Phillips founded Moorcrofts 15 years ago on 17th January 2000: Moorcrofts has just celebrated its 15th anniversary.

In those 15 years, under Adrian’s leadership, we’ve grown to 10 lawyers and garnered an enviable reputation in the areas that we cover.

Andrew Katz and Teri Hunter have been with Adrian for almost the whole of those 15 years, and on 31st January Adrian stepped down as Managing Partner, and handed over those responsibilities jointly to Andrew Katz as Chief Executive (with the title Managing Partner) and Teri Hunter as  Chief Financial Officer.

Partner Craig Havard continues his role as head of the Employment Department, and, having recently recruited senior lawyer Nicola Whelan into that department, will concentrate on developing this important part of the business, as well as continuing his role on the partnership team.

Adrian stays on both as Senior Partner and head of the Corporate Department, and will continue to work for his many clients.

Adrian said: “I have been proud to be Managing Partner of Moorcrofts since its founding 15 years ago. I believe the firm has been built on the solid foundations of hard work, integrity, and respect for each other and for our clients and the desire to do the best for our clients. Fifteen years is a good stint and I am very happy to be handing over to Andrew and Teri to continue the firm’s development. I am looking forward to having a bit more time to devote to our interesting clients.”

Andrew, who continues to lead the tech team, said: “We’re at a really exciting time in our history. We’ve just finished our busiest December ever, and our quality client base continues to expand. We’re actively recruiting for new lawyers in corporate and technology. Adrian’s leadership has left us in great shape. I’m really excited to be working with Teri in managing a firm so we can grasp the great opportunities which are coming our way.”

Teri said: “These are exciting times for the Moorcrofts team. The Corporate department is busier than ever and we are looking to increase the size of our team. I look forward to working with Andrew to move the firm to the next stage of its development.”
