Moorcrofts has advised the shareholders of Hamble Yacht Services on the successful sale of the business to Premier Marinas.

The acquisition sees Hamble Yacht Services join the Premier Marinas portfolio, with funding provided by Premier Marinas’ long-term owners, Wellcome.

Based on the River Hamble, Hamble Yacht Services has built a strong reputation as a leading marine facility, serving a loyal community of customers, berth holders and marine-related businesses. The acquisition marks the next chapter for the business, with Premier Marinas confirming that operations will continue as normal while building on Hamble Yacht Services’ established strengths.

Teri Hunter, Corporate Partner at Moorcrofts, led the advisory team, with support from Kate Prentis (Corporate Partner), Georgia Knibb (Senior Associate).

Teri, said:

“It was a pleasure to advise the shareholders of Hamble Yacht Services on the sale of the business to Premier Marinas. Hamble Yacht Services has been successfully developed over many years into one of the River Hamble’s most respected marine facilities, and this transaction represents an exciting opportunity for the business to continue its growth under new ownership. We are delighted to have supported our clients in achieving a successful outcome and wish Premier Marinas and the Hamble Yacht Services team every success for the future.”

Premier Marinas has confirmed that Hamble Yacht Services will continue to operate as usual, with the existing team continuing to support customers and tenants. Premier Marinas intends to invest in the site’s future while supporting the businesses and customers already based there.

The former shareholders of Hamble Yacht Services said:

“We are extremely grateful to the team at Moorcrofts for their support throughout this transaction. Their advice was clear, pragmatic and commercially focused from start to finish, and they guided us through every stage of the process with professionalism and responsiveness. We would not hesitate to recommend them.”
