Moorcrofts LLP has advised the shareholders of MCSA Group (“MCSA”) on the company’s sale to Park Place Technologies (“Park Place”).

Originally founded in 1979 by Roger Timms, MCSA is an IT Services business which specialises in business-critical managed IT services. Park Place is a world-leading post-warranty data centre maintenance firm. The acquisition will provide Park Place with additional expertise in hardware maintenance, a large number of customers and significant knowledge of the UK public sector.

Moorcrofts’ corporate partners, Teri Hunter and Will Pearce, led the deal with support from Mohsin Shabbir. Employment support was provided by Matt Jenkin, commercial contract support provided by Tim Astley and Majid Mahmood and commercial property support provided by Julia Ferguson.

Roger Timms, said:

“We are grateful to the Moorcrofts team for their efforts during the course of this sale. Moorcrofts have been the company’s legal advisers for many years and understood the intricacies of our business. Teri and her team worked closely with us, provided pragmatic and sensible solutions to matters that arose during the process, and helped us reach a successful conclusion”.

Teri Hunter, said:

“MCSA have been a longstanding client of our firm for many years and we are delighted to have helped Roger and his fellow shareholders through this sale process. We wish them all the very best for the future”.

KPMG LLP provided corporate finance advice for the MCSA shareholders and BDO LLP provided tax and accountancy advice for the MCSA shareholders.
