Senior Commercial Lawyer

You will be a lawyer with a proven track record of advising on non-contentious IP licensing, privacy and data protection, web terms and conditions, development agreements, cloud computing, and general commercial contracting with an exposure to cross-border work, for a client base which ranges from startups to established companies both in the UK and abroad. You will also have experience in providing support to our corporate team, advising on the commercial aspects of business sales and acquisitions.

You will be used to handling your own caseload of varied work, with attention to detail essential and be confident to take matters forward using your own initiative. You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of the law and the ability to work in a fast-paced commercial team, to tight deadlines with a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also need to show a commercial approach to matters and be able to advise on the best method of structuring a transaction to achieve the best results for the client.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious senior solicitor with 5+ years PQE, who is self-motivated and confident with the ability to create a positive impact on colleagues and peers. You will need to be willing to contribute to the business development of the team and in turn will have the opportunity to be involved in the future direction of the team. PQE is stated as a guide only and candidates with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate would be working from within  a small yet growing and dynamic commercial tech team and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers at the firm as well.

The role is based at our office in Marlow. Ideally, we are looking for somebody living in or around Marlow or prepared to move to the local area.
