About Peter Vass

Peter is a commercial and information technology lawyer with private practice and in-house experience. After qualifying as a solicitor in dual jurisdictions, Peter worked throughout the UK and in mainland Europe on a project basis, advising some of the world’s leading brands including on cross-border initiatives. He has many years of experience advising both sales and procurement teams in the public, and private sectors (including regulated industries).


Peter trained in the corporate and commercial practice of Bird Semple before it was acquired by DLA Piper Scotland. Prior to joining Moorcrofts for the first time in 2018, he was an Associate at Eversheds (which included an industry secondment at Mitchells & Butlers), a Senior Associate at Pinsent Masons (which included an industry secondment at Standard Life) and worked in-house as a Legal Manager at Tesco Bank.

Peter has a passion for travel and the outdoors, from walking in Denali National Park in Alaska and hiking in the Canadian Rockies, to clambering up the Franz Joseph Glazier in New Zealand, and dog sledding and snowmobiling at Sorrisniva in Norway. He has also cycled in the Spanish Pyrenees, the French Alps, and the Tuscan Alpi Apuane & Garfagnana.
