About Katie

Katie completed her training with Moorcrofts and has remained with the firm once she qualified as a solicitor in 2012. She now acts for a wide range of clients based both in the UK and abroad in connection with non-contentious commercial issues, intellectual property and technology. Katie’s work for US based companies is often focused on negotiating complex cross-jurisdictional deals for goods, services and particularly SaaS with multinational organisations.

Katie has passed Harvard Law School’s distance learning course on US copyright law (one module, degree level) and has a particular interest in FOSS and open hardware and data issues. She has written for the International Free and Open Source Software Law Review and has spoken at Society of Computer and Law and Lexis Nexis seminars and webinars on the issue of open source software.
