Commercial Property Law
About Ian Hylton
Ian has practised commercial property law since qualifying in 2006. He has extensive experience of both sales and acquisitions and landlord and tenant matters. His clients include corporates, including overseas registered companies, private clients and pension funds. He has also acted for a number of banks. Working with our corporate team, Ian is often involved in advising clients on assignments, lease variations and surrenders relating to corporate sales and acquisitions. Ian has recently acted for corporate tenants on a number of high value lettings in the City of London. At the same time, he thoroughly enjoys acting for start-up ventures and advising them as they take on their first open market leases.
Ian lives in the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire. He is married with four children, two of whom have (thankfully) flown the nest. He is a keen sailor and spends as much time as he can afloat off the coast of Essex. Before qualifying as a solicitor Ian served in the Hong Kong Police Force and still claims to have a passing ability to speak Cantonese albeit he is not challenging anyone to test him.
